Territory Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Territory Manager based in India.

This is a field-oriented sales role focused on driving territory growth through direct client engagement, strong relationship management, and consistent achievement of sales targets. You will be responsible for expanding market presence by introducing products and services to new and existing customers while maintaining a deep understanding of both the product portfolio and client business needs. The role requires a proactive, customer-focused approach with a strong emphasis on building long-term partnerships and delivering high-quality service. You will manage sales activities across your assigned territory, ensuring structured planning, execution, and follow-through to meet revenue objectives. This is a highly autonomous position that requires strong discipline, communication skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-moving field environment. Frequent travel is expected as part of territory coverage and client engagement.

Accountabilities

Drive territory sales performance by managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and client engagement to closing deals and maintaining long-term relationships.

  • Execute direct sales activities to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets within the territory.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term sales plans aligned with business and marketing objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and satisfaction.
  • Identify new business opportunities and introduce new products and services to expand market reach.
  • Conduct regular client visits to strengthen engagement and understand evolving customer needs.
  • Ensure clients receive high-quality service and timely support across all interactions.
  • Communicate product updates and service offerings to clients and coordinate additional needs with internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate sales reporting and contribute insights to improve territory performance.
Requirements

This role requires a strong sales-oriented professional with field experience, customer relationship skills, and the ability to manage a high level of autonomy in a territory-based environment.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, territory management, or a client-facing commercial role.
  • Associate degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of direct sales processes and customer relationship management.
  • Ability to manage and grow a portfolio of clients within an assigned territory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-first mindset.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a performance-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage frequent travel and field activities.
  • Comfort working in physically active field conditions, including extended periods of standing and client visits.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
