Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing Commercial Lines team. This role is responsible for managing a complex portfolio of commercial insurance accounts while delivering exceptional service to clients, Producers, and carrier partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, knowledgeable in commercial insurance coverages, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a key role in supporting client retention, renewal success, operational efficiency, and overall account growth.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement and can report to our office located in Cheshire, CT, Kingston NY Thornwood NY, or Enfield CT.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prompt, accurate, and professional service to clients, Producers, carrier representatives, and internal team members.
  • Manage day-to-day servicing activities for an assigned book of commercial insurance business, ensuring client needs are addressed proactively and efficiently.
  • Handle commercial lines renewal processes, including gathering information, preparing submissions, obtaining quotes, and coordinating renewal strategies.
  • Rate accounts through carrier websites and rating platforms to support new business and renewal opportunities.
  • Create proposals, presentations, and supporting documentation for Sales Executives and Producers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve coverage, policy, billing, and service-related issues while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, policy activity, and account changes within the agency management system.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers and underwriters to process requests, secure coverage solutions, and resolve servicing issues.
  • Support Producers and sales team members by providing guidance on commercial lines coverages, policy provisions, and carrier offerings.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of commercial insurance products, carrier appetites, underwriting guidelines, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support client retention, account growth, workflow efficiency, and overall service excellence.
  • Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 8+ years of commercial insurance account management, customer service, or insurance sales experience required.
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, policy servicing, renewal processes, and carrier relationships.
  • Experience working with agency management systems, carrier portals, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Claims experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and account servicing activities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve client and carrier issues effectively and professionally.
  • Collaborative mindset with a commitment to contributing to a team-oriented, growth-focused culture.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000 per year depending on experience.

*A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
