Driver in Grants Pass, Oregon at Becklin Holdings Inc

The Driver position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of materials, products, and supplies between company facilities, vendors, and customer locations. This position ensures deliveries are completed accurately while maintaining compliance with company policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations.

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, products, and supplies.
• Pick up and deliver items according to assigned schedules and routes.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.
• Verify delivery paperwork, packing slips, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure company vehicles remain in good working condition.
• Communicate delivery status, delays, and issues to supervisors or dispatch personnel.
• Assist with warehouse, inventory, or material handling tasks when not performing driving duties.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers, vendors, and employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL with a satisfactory driving record.
• Previous delivery or commercial driving experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety inspections.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb into and out of commercial vehicles and trailers.
• Ability to secure loads using straps, chains, and other tie-down equipment.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating commercial vehicles.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
