Finishing/Deburring operator in Plainview, New York at Schivo Medical

Finishing/Deburring Operator Position Overview:

Work in a team of 5-8 members, primarily responsible for deburring, buffing and polishing of medical device instruments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Follow work instruction

· Use poser tools to remove fine burrs

· Use microscope to inspect your work

· Use buffing motors to smooth, polish and deburr

· Use Ultrasonic cleaning machine medical device components

· Maintain necessary logs

· Provide necessary information to other team members and departments

· Trouble shoot minor errors

· Report job status/progress to members of management team.

· Maintain quality, safety control standards

Necessary Education, Skills, and Competencies (including licensing and certifications):

• Good hand to eye coordination

• Ability to speak, read (English)

• Excellent communications skills

• Friendly and positive attitude

• Experience

• Flexible schedule, dependable and possess willingness to learn new techniques

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time

• Ability to concentrate on single task for prolonged periods of time
