Job Description

Global Design & Data Visualization Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Global Design & Data Visualization Specialist based in Netherlands.

This role sits at the intersection of design, data, and global communications, focusing on transforming complex research and analytical insights into clear, engaging, and visually compelling formats. You will work closely with analysts, communicators, and regional teams across multiple continents to elevate how energy and financial research is understood and shared worldwide. The environment is highly collaborative and mission-driven, with strong emphasis on clarity, consistency, and storytelling through data. You will contribute to both global design systems and regional adaptation needs, ensuring a unified yet flexible visual identity. This is a hands-on creative role where speed, precision, and conceptual thinking are equally valued. Your work will directly support the accessibility and global impact of high-volume research outputs. It is an opportunity to shape how complex energy transitions and economic topics are visually communicated at scale.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and maintain high-quality design outputs across global templates, including reports, fact sheets, presentations, newsletters, and digital publications, ensuring alignment with brand standards and visual consistency.
  • Create compelling data visualizations such as charts, graphs, maps, and interactive explainers in collaboration with analysts, making complex research accessible to non-expert audiences.
  • Design a wide range of visual assets for digital and print use, including social media graphics, webinars, events, presentations, website content, and partner materials.
  • Develop infographics and visual storytelling formats that translate technical energy and finance research into clear, engaging, and shareable content.
  • Contribute to the evolution of design systems, templates, and brand guidelines while supporting regional teams with training and best practices in tools such as Flourish and other visualization platforms.
  • Provide surge capacity and design support to regional teams across multiple geographies, ensuring continuity during peak workloads or resource gaps.
  • Act as a temporary design resource for regional teams when needed, supporting formatting, visualization, and production workflows across different time zones.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, data visualization, digital media, or a related field, with 4–7 years of professional design experience.
  • Strong expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office design tools, and data visualization platforms such as Flourish, with additional experience in Canva and web-related tools (HTML/CSS, Drupal, or UX design) considered a plus.
  • Proven ability to translate complex research, data, and technical content into clear, visually engaging, and accurate design outputs.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience across reports, presentations, infographics, charts, maps, digital campaigns, and data-driven storytelling.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines, priorities, and stakeholders in a global environment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and incorporate feedback across multicultural teams.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with flexibility to work occasional early or late hours due to global coordination.
Benefits:
  • Competitive, market-aligned compensation based on experience and location.
  • Fully remote work with global collaboration across multiple time zones.
  • One-year consultancy contract with potential for extension based on funding and performance.
  • Flexible working schedule adapted to international coordination needs.
  • Opportunity to contribute to mission-driven, globally recognized research initiatives.
  • Participation in international team retreats and occasional global gatherings.
  • Inclusive and diverse working environment committed to equal opportunity and accessibility.
