As we continue to strengthen and elevate our supply chain capabilities, we are looking for an SCM Supplier Quality Engineer EMEA who will play a key role in ensuring supplier quality, compliance, and performance across our European operations. Based in Basel, this role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact in a highly regulated and quality-driven aviation environment.

If you are energized by operational excellence, passionate about supplier quality, and ready to make a lasting impact, this is your opportunity.

Your Role

  • Drive Supplier Quality Excellence: As SCM Supplier Quality Engineer EMEA, you will be responsible for ensuring that externally sourced materials, components, and services meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will support and strengthen supplier quality assurance processes across the region, helping to ensure reliability and consistency throughout the supply chain.
  • Lead Supplier Oversight and Compliance: You will manage supplier qualification, approval, auditing, and monitoring activities in line with internal requirements and applicable aviation regulations. Your work will help ensure that supplier certifications, documentation, and traceability requirements remain current, accurate, and fully compliant.
  • Resolve Issues and Strengthen Performance: You will lead the management of supplier-related non-conformities, supporting investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and sustainable resolution. Through structured follow-up and continuous improvement initiatives, you will help elevate supplier performance and reduce quality-related risk.
  • Partner Across Functions: You will work closely with Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to align supplier quality activities with operational and business needs. Your ability to collaborate across functions will be essential in supporting efficient escalation, risk mitigation, and informed decision-making.
  • Enhance Visibility and Continuous Improvement: You will contribute to the development of supplier quality KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools that provide transparency into supplier performance and risk. Your insights will support data-driven improvements and strengthen overall supply chain quality management.

Who You Are

  • Quality Expert with Aviation Insight: You bring a strong foundation in supplier quality or quality assurance, with at least five years of experience in aerospace or aviation. You are knowledgeable in aviation regulatory requirements such as EASA Part 145/21, FAA, and relevant AS/EN standards, and you understand the importance of compliance, traceability, and documentation within a regulated environment.
  • Analytical and Structured Problem Solver: You are experienced in supplier audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes, and you approach quality issues with rigor, discipline, and a continuous improvement mindset. You are confident using structured methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, or similar tools to identify causes and drive sustainable solutions.
  • Collaborative Partner and Effective Communicator: You build strong working relationships across functions and with external suppliers, balancing technical credibility with a pragmatic and constructive approach. You communicate clearly in English, and additional European language skills would be an advantage in this regional role.
  • Results-Oriented and Quality-Driven Professional: You are accountable, detail-oriented, and motivated by high standards. You are comfortable managing priorities in a dynamic environment and are willing to travel across Europe to support supplier audits, assessments, and development activities.
  • Continuous Improver with a Hands-On Mindset: You thrive in environments where improvement, consistency, and operational excellence matter. Whether supporting supplier development, enhancing quality reporting, or strengthening compliance processes, you bring energy, resilience, and a proactive attitude to every challenge.
