  • Analyze and validate payroll configurations including earnings, deductions, tax structures, and reporting logic to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot payroll and system issues, working closely with clients to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Deliver client training, documentation, and guidance to improve system adoption and enable long-term self-sufficiency.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to improve payroll processes, enhance system performance, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll and HR operations.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paycor, Paylocity, UKG, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
  • Experience in system configuration, implementation, optimization, or migration projects.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Client-facing or consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with complex payroll environments (multi-state, multi-entity, union, or job costing) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical system concepts in clear business terms.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, consulting-based environment.
Benefits:
  • Flexible part-time consulting role with remote work arrangements.
  • Ability to work from anywhere with scheduling flexibility based on client and project needs.
  • Opportunity to work across multiple HRIS and payroll platforms in diverse client environments.
  • Exposure to complex payroll and HR transformation projects across different industries.
  • Collaborative and supportive consulting culture focused on impact and knowledge sharing.
  • Autonomy to manage your workload and contribute directly to client success.
  • Meaningful work improving payroll accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency for clients.
