Claims Training and Development Facilitator

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Claims Training and Development Facilitator based in Canada.

This role is focused on enabling Claims professionals to build the knowledge, confidence, and technical capability needed to deliver high-quality service to customers.
You will design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs that support claims teams across Canada, ensuring alignment with operational processes and compliance standards.
The position combines facilitation, instructional design, and stakeholder consulting within a fast-paced insurance environment.
You will play a key role in identifying learning gaps, developing targeted solutions, and enhancing overall organizational performance.
The role involves close collaboration with Claims leadership, quality, and compliance teams to ensure training is relevant and impactful.
This is a highly interactive position where communication, coaching, and continuous improvement directly influence employee success and customer outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Facilitate engaging virtual instructor-led training sessions that support knowledge retention and on-the-job application for Claims employees.
  • Deliver structured learning programs aligned with defined objectives, using adult learning principles and standardized training guides.
  • Monitor learner progress and performance, identify knowledge or skill gaps, and provide insights to leadership teams.
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve training materials, job aids, and learning resources to support Claims operations.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, performance data, and learner outcomes, and recommend improvements where needed.
  • Partner with Claims leadership, quality, and compliance teams to identify learning needs and develop targeted training solutions.
  • Support coordination of training logistics, certifications, tracking, and program delivery across multiple teams.
  • Contribute to organizational development initiatives, including instructional design and process improvement projects.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in handling bodily injury or complex insurance claims is required.
  • Proven ability to facilitate and deliver training sessions to diverse audiences in a virtual or classroom setting.
  • Solid understanding of claims systems and tools (e.g., claims management platforms and related internal applications).
  • Experience with learning and collaboration tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint, Workday, or similar platforms is an asset.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trust and influence others.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify gaps and propose practical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability to change and openness to learning new tools, processes, and methodologies.
  • Bilingual French proficiency is considered an asset.
