Key Accountabilities
- Station leadership — Supports the Sous Chef in managing an assigned pastry station, ensuring readiness, organization, and consistent execution throughout service.
- Menu execution — Prepares, bakes, and finishes desserts to exacting brand standards, following Chef Ramsay’s recipes, plating guides, and quality expectations.
- Mise en place excellence — Produces precise, high‑quality mise en place for service, including doughs, creams, garnishes, sauces, and components requiring advanced pastry techniques.
- Quality control — Conducts taste checks, verifies textures, temperatures, and presentation, ensuring every dessert meets visual and flavour benchmarks
- Inventory & waste management — Assists with ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste through proper handling, storage, and FIFO procedures.
- Kitchen cleanliness — Maintains a clean, safe, and organized pastry workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaboration & communication — Works closely with pastry leadership, culinary teams, and front‑of‑house partners to ensure seamless service.
- Continuous improvement — Participates in training, menu development discussions, and skill‑building opportunities to advance pastry craft.
- Other duties — Performs additional tasks as assigned to support pastry and kitchen operations.
Education and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of culinary experience, preferably in a premium or high‑volume environment
- Culinary Pastry education an asset
- Strong technical skills and understanding of kitchen operations
- FOODSAFE Certification
- Ability to successfully clear a criminal record check
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, up to 40 hours per week
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment Considerations
Standing for extended periods and supporting the operation during non‑traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as part of delivering exceptional guest experiences.
