The Security Monitoring Platform Developer will design, implement, and maintain custom security automation applications that support cyber monitoring and incident response operations. This role focuses on developing reliable Azure-based solutions, integrating security services, and creating efficient workflows that improve detection, enrichment, and response capabilities.

• Develop and maintain Azure-native security automation applications, including Function Apps, Logic Apps, Service Bus integrations, and data persistence solutions.
• Build and enhance phishing analysis automation workflows, including email enrichment, AI-based classification, escalation processes, and incident creation.
• Implement threat intelligence integrations that connect external security sources with monitoring platforms and improve security visibility.
• Develop Python-based Azure Functions for data replication, processing pipelines, and security workflow enrichment.
• Design and implement complex incident handling workflows, including automated enrichment, investigation support, and ticketing integrations.
• Integrate external security APIs, threat intelligence feeds, and sandbox solutions with appropriate error handling, retry mechanisms, and reliability controls.
• Follow infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices using tools such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, and version-controlled deployment processes.
• Ensure application reliability through structured logging, monitoring, health checks, and application observability practices.
• Document developed solutions, support knowledge transfer, and ensure alignment with security operations standards and governance models.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity analysts, IT teams, and development stakeholders to translate security requirements into scalable technical solutions.

The ideal candidate is a technically skilled developer with experience in Azure cloud services, cybersecurity automation, and secure application development. They should have strong programming abilities, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.

• Strong hands-on experience with Python development, including Azure Functions, asynchronous processing, and API integrations.
• Experience working with Azure Platform-as-a-Service technologies, including Function Apps, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Key Vault, Event Hub, and Application Insights.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and data serialization formats such as STIX and MISP event formats.
• Experience with SQL databases and data pipeline concepts, including Azure SQL and Azure Data Explorer (ADX/KQL preferred).
• Knowledge of Git-based development workflows, infrastructure-as-code practices, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in cybersecurity, SIEM platforms, security operations, threat intelligence, or related fields.
• Understanding of security incident lifecycles, detection engineering principles, and security automation concepts.
• Ability to understand enterprise systems, business processes, and complex data flows.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across international teams and time zones.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus.
