Senior Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Project Manager based in the United States.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will guide cross-functional teams, collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery from project initiation through completion. Accountabilities
  • Lead large, complex projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Manage cross-functional project teams of 30+ members, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance while mentoring and coaching project managers.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource planning, timelines, budgets, risk management strategies, and contingency plans.
  • Facilitate customer-facing meetings, project workshops, requirements gathering sessions, sprint ceremonies, and executive stakeholder reviews.
  • Monitor project progress through regular reporting, issue tracking, budget oversight, schedule management, and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Drive issue resolution, change management, and decision-making processes while maintaining transparent communication with clients and internal leadership.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, action logs, risk registers, and project closure documentation.
  • Support organizational growth by participating in hiring, onboarding, training, performance feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Project Management Office.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, Insurance, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of project management experience, including significant experience leading large-scale technical or insurance-related projects.
  • Proven success managing cross-functional teams of 30 or more resources across complex, long-term initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in Agile frameworks, Scrum methodologies, and project governance best practices.
  • Multiple project management certifications required; SAFe, Advanced Scrum Master, ACP, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar project budgets and long-duration implementation schedules.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office 365, JIRA, Azure DevOps, and other project management platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project scope, change control, stakeholder communication, and customer-facing engagements.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to mentor project managers, work independently, maintain exceptional integrity, and promote a servant leadership mindset.
  • Master's degree in Project Management or a related field is considered an asset.
