The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for generating qualified opportunities, building relationships with financial services prospects, and supporting revenue growth through strategic prospecting and effective sales engagement.
- Research and identify potential customers across banks, credit unions, mortgage lenders, auto lenders, fintech companies, and other financial institutions.
- Execute outbound prospecting strategies through phone calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and other engagement channels.
- Respond to inbound leads from marketing campaigns and industry events, qualifying prospects and converting interest into sales opportunities.
- Engage with key decision-makers in credit, risk, underwriting, analytics, and lending functions to understand business challenges and position relevant solutions.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline by researching accounts, prioritizing opportunities, and tracking prospect interactions.
- Use AI-enabled sales tools and data insights to improve account research, personalize outreach, and increase prospecting effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information within CRM systems to support pipeline visibility and forecasting.
- Develop knowledge of credit scoring solutions, lending processes, and the broader credit decisioning ecosystem to support credible customer conversations.
- Apply a consultative sales approach by connecting customer needs with appropriate solutions and business outcomes.
- Partner with sales, client success, and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and improve lead generation efforts.
- Participate in client meetings, industry events, and internal meetings as needed, with travel requirements varying based on business needs.
The ideal candidate combines sales ability, financial services knowledge, strong communication skills, and curiosity about emerging sales technologies. This role requires someone who can build trust with professional audiences while managing a high-volume prospecting environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in sales, business, finance, financial services, or a related field.
- Experience working in a results-oriented sales, business development, or commercial environment.
- Understanding of financial services, lending operations, credit risk, underwriting, or related industries preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with credit, risk, and financial professionals using a consultative approach.
- Strong relationship-building skills across phone, email, and social communication channels.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple prospects and opportunities.
- Experience using CRM platforms and sales technology tools such as Salesforce or similar systems.
- Familiarity with AI-powered sales tools, prospecting platforms, intent data solutions, or generative AI assistants is preferred.
- Ability to leverage data and insights to prioritize accounts and improve sales effectiveness.
- Adaptable mindset with enthusiasm for learning new technologies and improving sales processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% for client visits, industry events, and internal meetings.
- Competitive base salary range of $81,900–$128,700 USD, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
