Job Description

CEHAS Plan Administrators, LLC • Plan Operations • Fully Remote (U.S.) • Full-Time, W2 • $60,000–$65,000/year • Paid weekly

Reports to the Account Team Manager

Innovative. Transparent. Simple.

Why this role matters

CEHAS administers self-funded employee benefits for employers across the country. Implementation wins the relationship — account management is where we keep it. Once a group is live, you are the person they call: you run their payroll cycle, keep their eligibility clean, and answer the broker's question before it becomes an escalation. Every renewal and every referral we earn traces back to whether their day-to-day just works. This is not an entry-level seat. We're looking for someone who already knows self-funded benefits and payroll operations and can hold a book of clients with confidence on day one.

What you'll own

A portfolio of live clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for a defined book of employer groups, brokers, and plan sponsors — the steady, familiar voice they trust after go-live.

The payroll cycle. Process accurate, on-time client payrolls in our proprietary system, protect data integrity, and resolve payroll questions quickly and completely.

Clean plan data. Maintain eligibility, enrollment changes, terminations, and Section 125 provisions so the record always matches reality — including 834 eligibility files.

Problems, end to end. Own issues from first report to confirmed fix, pulling in Claims, Payroll, Finance, Support, and IT as needed. You close the loop with the client; they don't chase you.

The internal voice of the client. Surface recurring friction to Operations and Technology so we fix the workflow, not just the ticket.

A clean record. Keep client notes, interaction history, and payroll documentation current in Salesforce, and hold strict confidentiality over protected health and payroll information.

The renewal. Stay close through plan year changes and renewal season so nothing about the group surprises us — or them.

Who we're looking for

You know the industry. Self-funded benefits, TPA operations, payroll, or brokerage — you have done this work and can speak to it credibly.

You're great with people. Professional, warm, and steady — especially when a client is frustrated.

You're genuinely careful. You catch the small stuff and follow through without being chased. In benefits, a typo is somebody's claim.

You're organized. Several clients, several payroll deadlines, nothing falls through the cracks.

You're good with numbers. You can audit a file, spot the row that doesn't belong, and explain what you found.

You communicate clearly. In writing and on a call.

You work independently. We are fully remote and we trust you.

Nice to have

Salesforce • proprietary payroll or HRIS platforms • Employee Navigator • level-funded / stop-loss • broker or producer license • advanced Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables) • Spanish. If the required list is you and this one isn't — apply anyway.

Compensation & benefits

We administer benefits for a living, and hold our own program to the same standard.

  • $60,000–$65,000 base, depending on experience, paid weekly

  • Fully remote, gear provided, with a distributed team across the U.S.
  • 2+ years at a TPA, benefits brokerage, carrier, self-funded plan administrator, or in payroll/client operations
  • Working knowledge of self-funded benefits, Section 125, SPDs, and eligibility/834 files
  • Experience as the primary contact for brokers, employer groups, or plan sponsors
  • Demonstrated accuracy processing payroll or benefits data on a recurring deadline
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel for auditing and reconciling client data
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort guiding clients through a process
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a private workspace during business hours
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
