Sr. Sage 100 Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Sage 100 Consultant based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to help businesses optimize their operations through successful ERP implementations and strategic technology solutions.
You will work closely with customers to understand complex business needs, configure solutions, and guide organizations through digital transformation projects.
The position combines technical expertise, consulting skills, and customer partnership to deliver impactful software experiences.
You will serve as a trusted advisor, supporting implementation teams, training users, and improving business processes across manufacturing, distribution, and accounting environments.

Accountabilities:

The Sr. Sage 100 Consultant will lead ERP implementation projects by analyzing customer requirements, designing effective solutions, and providing expert guidance throughout the customer journey. This role requires strong consulting capabilities, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects while building trusted relationships with clients.

  • Guide customers strategically through the complete ERP implementation lifecycle, from discovery and planning through deployment and post-implementation support.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand business requirements, operational challenges, workflows, and future objectives.
  • Create detailed documentation including requirements analysis, business process evaluations, implementation plans, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Lead project scoping, planning, business process mapping, configuration sessions, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert by providing guidance to internal teams and customer stakeholders throughout implementation projects.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions through virtual, phone, or in-person formats to ensure successful user adoption.
  • Support data migration activities, system configuration, testing processes, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Provide timely and professional customer support by troubleshooting issues and recommending effective solutions.
  • Participate in sales discussions, demonstrations, proposal development, and client presentations as a software expert when needed.
  • Lead or support consulting teams during customer engagements, ensuring project milestones and objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain strong communication with customers through project meetings, status updates, and ongoing collaboration.
  • Travel occasionally to client locations as required.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive ERP consulting experience, strong knowledge of Sage 100 or similar mid-market ERP platforms, and the ability to translate business challenges into practical technology solutions. You should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with customers across different industries.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sage 100 consultant or 5+ years implementing comparable ERP solutions such as Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics GP, IQMS, Oracle E-Business Suite, Infor, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong experience with ERP implementation methodologies, project scoping, requirements gathering, planning, and business process mapping.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality delivery.
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes, manufacturing operations, inventory management, sales workflows, and business practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, accounting systems, US GAAP, and financial reporting concepts.
  • Experience leading configuration sessions, user acceptance testing, training programs, and customer workshops.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, listening, and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, CRM platforms, and business productivity tools.
  • Ability and willingness to travel when required.
  • Passion for ERP consulting, technology, and developing innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
  • High level of accountability, initiative, curiosity, and adaptability in a fast-paced consulting environment.
