Physician --Neurohospitalist in Valhalla, New York at Westchester Medical Center

Job Description: HealthAlliance Hospital, part of WMCHealth has an excellent opportunity for a Neurohospitalist in our Kingston, NY location. The Department of Neurology is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist to join a rapidly growing multiple physician Neurology group in the Hudson Valley in Kingston, NY vicinity. The Neurology department at Health Alliance consists of an inpatient Stroke Neurologist, 3 outpatient Neurologists, and a growing team of Physician Assistants. The practice is looking for a Neurohospitalist due to continued growth and increase in demand. Teleneurology, telestroke and eICU provide support for acute neurologic needs.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Applicants must have an MD (or equivalent) degree and must be board certified/board eligible in Neurology by the date of hire
• Qualified to obtain a New York State license
• Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated clinical skills in neurology, including inpatient and outpatient care.
• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
• Communication Skills: Must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Inpatient consultation at HealthAlliance Hospital, and collaborate clinically in the Northern region of the network
• Integral role in expanding inpatient and outpatient neurology services
• Practice at a DNV-Certified Primary Stroke Center with after-hours tele-stroke support
• Opportunity to practice within a Comprehensive Stroke Center network
• Membership in the growing WMC Department of Neurology
• Involvement in clinical care, teaching, research, and programmatic development at WMCHealth and NYMC

• Must have the ability to travel occasionally for work, meetings, training, and company events. Must possess a valid driver's license and the willingness to occasionally commute to partner organizations within 90 miles of the Valhalla, NY corporate office.
