Job Summary: Under general supervision, operates production equipment while ensuring product quality, production efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards. Monitors equipment performance, performs operator-level preventive maintenance, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to maintain an efficient production process.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operates assigned production equipment according to Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and operator manuals.
- Monitors machine operation and promptly reports mechanical or operational issues to the Supervisor or Manufacturing Facilitator.
- Performs operator-level preventive maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly) and accurately completes all required maintenance documentation.
- Performs in-process and final quality inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Accurately records production, scrap, downtime, and other required production information.
- Reads and follows Job Travelers, work instructions, and production documentation.
- Packs finished product for shipment or storage as required.
- Frequently lifts up to 45 pounds; team lifts heavier loads when required.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Communicates production, quality, safety, or equipment concerns to the Supervisor and/or Manufacturing Facilitator.
- Supports production flow, line balance, and Lean continuous improvement initiatives.
- Works rotating shifts and overtime as scheduled to meet business needs.
- Maintains positive working relationships by demonstrating Koozie Group's Vision, Values, and Respect in the Workplace.
- Performs physical activities including standing for extended periods, reaching, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, grasping, and walking throughout the facility.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assists in onboarding and training new team members on standard operating procedures, as directed.
- Supports workplace organization, housekeeping, and continuous improvement activities.
- Contributes to maintaining efficient production flow by communicating issues promptly and collaborating effectively with the team.
Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Job Skills:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Ability to follow written work instructions and production documentation.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.
Job Experience:
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of quality inspection methods and manufacturing processes preferred.
