Job Summary:
Our Conference Spaces Associates play a vital role in preparing Ridgecrest’s meeting rooms, auditoriums, and event venues with excellence. They support our mission of Impacting Lives for God’s Glory through Purposeful Hospitality by ensuring every space is clean, organized, and set accurately according to event specifications.
Working under the direction of the Audio/Visual & Conference Spaces Manager, Conference Spaces Associates help create welcoming, functional environments where guests can focus on ministry, community, and spiritual growth. This team exemplifies Ridgecrest’s core values by serving with integrity, attention to detail, and a heart for hospitality
Job specific highlights
This is a seasonal position beginning in late August and continuing through November 15th, 2027.
The starting pay is $15.00 per hour, based on experience.
*Candidates should be available to work a variety of morning, afternoon/evening, weekend, shifts as needed. Sunday availability is required.
Essential Job Duties:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Clear, clean, reset, and prepare all conference spaces according to established diagrams, schedules, and event requirements.
- Set up conference rooms with precision, including chairs, tables, staging, and other furnishings aligned with event specifications.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of meeting spaces, storage rooms, and equipment areas.
- Support timely room turnovers between sessions or events, ensuring readiness for the next group.
- Identify and report any facility, furnishing, or equipment concerns to the Conference Spaces Manager.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with guests and internal partners, demonstrating Ridgecrest’s commitment to purposeful hospitality.
- Follow all safety procedures and equipment handling guidelines.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Conference Spaces Manager.

- Strong customer service mindset with a commitment to creating clean, welcoming, and purposeful guest experiences.
- Ability to follow room diagrams, written instructions, and verbal direction with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reliable, professional, and able to maintain a positive attitude when serving guests and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and peak event seasons.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required. Experience in hospitality, housekeeping, events, facilities, or similar service-oriented roles preferred.
- Demonstrated dependability and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new processes, equipment handling procedures, and setup
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Good body mobility with good range of motion from floor level to overhead.
- Able to work in a variety of work areas.
- Work will include significant amounts of bending, stretching, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and lifting on a daily basis.
- Ability to safely move tables, chairs, staging, and other event furnishings as required.
- Ability to travel between buildings and event venues across Ridgecrest’s campus, including navigating steep inclines, declines, stairs, and uneven terrain.
- Must be able to work outdoors while moving between conference facilities and event spaces in varying weather conditions.
- Must possess normal vision and hearing.
