Job Description

Poster Child is looking for the person who wants to build a strategy department, not inherit one.

We're at an inflection point. Our client roster is growing, we're winning larger and more complex assignments and we have the opportunity to define what strategy looks like inside the agency for years to come.

This role is for someone who wants more than leading briefs. You'll partner directly with our Founder and the leadership team to shape our strategic offering, establish the methodologies and thinking that become synonymous with Poster Child and help build the next generation of strategists as the agency grows.

The Director of Strategy will be responsible for campaign planning and research, audience and platform development, messaging and narrative framework development, trend monitoring. The Director of Strategy must be adept at building campaign architecture from scratch, solving complex challenges for clients, and building out campaign framework from new business RFP's. A strong understanding of the social and influencer industry is required.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate an ability to seamlessly build campaigns, respond to evolving client challenges in real time, and have innate fluency within the social media/influencer space.

RESPONSIBILITES:

Lead strategic thinking across our biggest clients:

• Develop insight-driven brand, communications, social, creator and cultural strategies
• Turn ambiguous business challenges into clear strategic direction
• Build frameworks and narratives that inspire exceptional creative work
• Be a trusted strategic partner to senior clients

Build the strategy discipline:

• Define how strategy works at Poster Child, from process and philosophy to deliverables and ways of working
• Create repeatable tools, planning frameworks and strategic IP
• Establish best practices that raise the quality of work across the agency
• Recruit, mentor and grow the strategy team over time

Participate deeply in new business:

• Lead strategy on major pitches and RFPs
• Partner with leadership to shape agency positioning and capabilities
• Translate client business problems into compelling agency solutions
• Present confidently in high-stakes rooms with senior marketers and executives

Partner across the agency:

• Work hand-in-hand with creative, account, production and creator teams
• Push thinking beyond communications into business, culture and customer experience
• Elevate the strategic quality of every major engagement

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's Degree in a related field

· Minimum 7 years' experience in influencer/social marketing

· Experience leading strategy for nationally or globally recognized brands

· Deep understanding of media principles, data & analytics

· Exceptional presenter, storyteller and workshop facilitator

· Equally comfortable defining long-term brand strategy or solving immediate business problems

· Curious, commercially minded and highly collaborative

· Strong social media fluency

· Design and deck making prowess and fluency

· Proven influencer marketing portfolio

· Knowledge of influencer marketing measurement/identification tools

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

· Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time

· This position may require time in office buildings or outdoors
