Position Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving commercial success across Medivant Healthcare's product portfolio. This role leads a team of sales representatives, manages key customer relationships, and collaborates with internal departments to support revenue growth, market expansion, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has extensive Sales leadership experience, strong knowledge of pharmaceutical or healthcare markets, and a proven ability to motivate teams while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8–12 Sales representatives responsible for inbound and outbound outreach, lead qualification, and account support.
- Establish daily, weekly, and monthly performance expectations with clearly defined KPIs, including call volume, conversions, follow-ups, pipeline health, and customer retention.
- Conduct ongoing training on compliance, product knowledge, CRM best practices, objection handling, and customer engagement.
- Monitor individual and team performance, provide coaching, conduct performance reviews, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
- Foster a culture of accountability, compliance, collaboration, and high performance.
Sales Execution & Market Growth
- Manage and support key strategic customer accounts across assigned territories and customer segments.
- Execute sales and market expansion strategies across Medivant's product portfolio.
- Partner with field sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure aligned customer outreach and messaging.
- Support achievement of company revenue goals through coordinated call and field sales efforts.
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary escalation point for high-value customers and complex account needs.
- Ensure representatives deliver exceptional customer service through timely communication, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Oversee onboarding of new customer accounts and coordinate with operations, logistics, and customer support teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, clinics, infusion centers, and healthcare networks.
Strategic Sales Management
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue growth, market penetration, and customer retention.
- Evaluate market trends, competitive activity, and sales analytics to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and contribute to monthly and quarterly business reviews.
- Collaborate with Marketing to strengthen commercial messaging and with Operations to support inventory and demand planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support commercial initiatives.
- Communicate customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and market insights to internal stakeholders.
- Support the development of sales programs, training materials, and customer-facing resources.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in Sales leadership.
- Strong background in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or specialty product sales.
- Proven success managing sales teams with measurable KPIs and performance accountability.
- Experience managing strategic customer accounts and complex customer relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales metrics and drive data-driven decisions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and team development skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 20–40% for customer meetings and business needs.
Preferred:
- Experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing or healthcare sales organizations.
- Familiarity with specialty pharmaceutical distribution models and customer contracting.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
