Receptionist / Optometrist Assistant

We are currently seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Receptionist / Optometrist Assistant to join our Welland team on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
• Professional, friendly, and positive attitude
• Previous optical or healthcare experience is considered an asset, but is not required

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Greeting patients in a professional and friendly manner
• Entering and maintaining patient information accurately
• Pre-testing patients prior to appointments (training provided)
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Billing and processing insurance claims
• General front desk and clerical duties, including filing, scanning, and faxing
• Contacting patients to book eye examinations and recalls
• Balancing payments and completing end-of-day procedures
• Must have own reliable transportation and be willing to go to other location on occasion with Optometrist.

Position Details

• Full-Time including some Saturdays
