Grand River Navigation Company is the U.S. operating subsidiary of Mainstay Maritime. We are one of the largest marine transportation service providers operating on the Great Lakes today with a combined fleet of 15 bulk freight vessels that provide service to over 50 customers across the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway.

Our Company has openings for the position of Conveyorman aboard our US flagged self-unloading vessels.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor conveyor and cargo-handling systems during loading and unloading.
- Inspect equipment and report operational or safety issues.
- Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Assist with cargo transfer, trimming, and unloading operations.
- Follow vessel safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain clean and safe conveyor and cargo-handling areas.
- Participate in emergency drills and response activities.
- Complete other duties as assigned to support vessel operations.

- Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)
- Legally authorized to work in the US, without restriction

- Experience and desires to align to our Values
- MMC with Wiper Endorsement issued by USCG preferred
- Mechanical experience is a must, welding experience preferred
- Maritime training or recent vessel experience preferred
