Summer Analyst - Practice Management

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Summer Analyst - Practice Management based in the United States.

This summer internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a leading financial advisory environment.
As a Practice Management Summer Analyst, you will support strategic initiatives that enhance advisor effectiveness, operational efficiency, and business growth.
You will collaborate with experienced professionals and cross-functional teams to transform business priorities into actionable projects.
The role provides exposure to wealth management operations, business planning, client experience, and practice strategy.
Through mentorship, training, and real-world projects, you will develop valuable analytical and professional skills.
This program is designed for motivated students seeking to build a strong foundation in financial services while contributing to meaningful initiatives.

Accountabilities:

The Summer Analyst will support practice management initiatives by assisting with project execution, data analysis, reporting, and process improvement activities. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

  • Support practice management projects by maintaining project plans, timelines, trackers, meeting notes, and follow-up actions.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze business information related to advisor teams, planning activities, operational processes, and growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain Excel-based tools, dashboards, templates, and reporting materials to support decision-making.
  • Assist with advisor business planning sessions, strategy workshops, team assessments, and related preparation materials.
  • Prepare data summaries, presentations, agendas, and documentation to support business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across operations, technology, regional groups, and other business functions to coordinate execution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen documentation, and create reusable tools and workflows.
  • Contribute to ongoing initiatives focused on improving team effectiveness and scalable business operations.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a motivated undergraduate student with an interest in financial services, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment. Success in this role requires curiosity, organization, and the ability to turn information into actionable insights.

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, data analytics, management, operations, communications, or a related field.
  • Expected graduation year of 2028 and strong academic standing.
  • Interest in wealth management, financial services, business strategy, or operational improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize data, identify trends, summarize findings, and develop recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including creating trackers, charts, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear and professional business documents.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate with different stakeholders, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
