About the role

  • This position is for an adjunct faculty position, teaching either Research Methods and Evaluation (Spring Semester 2nd 8 weeks) or Theories and Techniques of Career Counseling (Summer Semester). These are in-person evening courses, offered Tuesdays from 5:30-9:30 PM. Adjunct load will vary based on capabilities of the Adjunct Professor and needs of the program.
  • Compensation is $4,500 for three-credit courses in the graduate school.

Qualifications

  • Content area expertise required, and experience teaching adult students preferred
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and counseling practice
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide substantive feedback
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills
  • Respectful of diverse perspectives

Experience:

  • Previous teaching experience, with training counseling students in-person preferred.

Education:

  • A doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision or a closely related field, with licensure in counseling or related field preferred.
