This role offers the opportunity to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of modern software applications through advanced testing practices. You will design, execute, and maintain automated and manual testing strategies while collaborating closely with development and product teams. The position combines technical expertise in automation frameworks, API testing, and quality assurance methodologies to deliver robust software solutions. The Senior QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and improving testing activities while ensuring software quality across applications and releases. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, creating, and executing both manual and automated test strategies using appropriate testing tools and frameworks.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts for efficient and reliable testing processes.
- Testing backend applications, including REST API-based services, to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Defining and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios while documenting results clearly.
- Identifying, analyzing, and reporting defects using issue tracking systems with detailed and actionable information.
- Collaborating with developers, product managers, and product owners to ensure effective quality assurance throughout the software lifecycle.
- Communicating technical findings clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Supporting continuous improvement of QA processes, automation coverage, and testing efficiency.
- Performing UI testing and expanding automation capabilities as application requirements evolve.
- Conducting performance and load testing to assess application scalability and reliability.
- Contributing to Agile development practices and supporting high-quality software delivery.
The ideal candidate is an experienced QA automation professional with strong testing expertise and the ability to work effectively in Agile software development environments. Required qualifications and skills include:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
- Strong experience testing backend applications, particularly REST API-based .NET applications.
- Hands-on experience writing automation scripts using Cypress or Selenium.
- Ability to create and execute both automated and manual test scripts and test cases.
- Experience working within Agile software development teams.
- Familiarity with development environments such as Visual Studio or Rider.
- Experience using bug tracking and test management tools, particularly Azure DevOps.
- Experience performing performance and load testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality processes, and automation best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-have skills include:
- Experience with Apache JMeter.
- Advanced experience with Azure DevOps.
- Additional expertise with Cypress and Selenium automation frameworks.
