We are seeking an Intermediate Software Developer to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of innovative healthcare technology solutions.
This role offers the opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to implementation, testing, and maintenance.

The Intermediate Software Developer will work closely with product, technical, and business teams to translate requirements into effective software solutions. The role contributes to application development, technical improvements, and engineering best practices while supporting the delivery of secure, scalable, and maintainable products.
- Design, develop, test, and implement applications using modern web technologies.
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, verification, deployment, and maintenance.
- Evaluate business and technical requirements and propose appropriate design approaches and solutions.
- Develop high-quality, well-documented code while following established coding standards and engineering practices.
- Build and maintain software components, middleware solutions, and application integrations.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs while ensuring performance, interoperability, and maintainability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and end-user support materials.
- Perform code reviews to improve quality, identify potential issues, and recommend enhancements.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges across assigned projects.
- Provide technical guidance, recommendations, and support for complex initiatives and escalated issues.
- Contribute to software development best practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and technology evaluations.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends including data management and machine learning-related solutions.
The ideal candidate is an experienced software developer with strong full-cycle development knowledge and the ability to collaborate effectively in a technology-focused environment. Experience in healthcare technology or data platforms is considered an advantage.
- 5+ years of experience in full-cycle software development.
- Postsecondary education in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and the Spring framework.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data-driven application development.
- Experience using Git and collaborative software development workflows.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices, including continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Experience with Docker, containerization, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of unit testing practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience developing middleware products and transaction-processing solutions.
- Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation.
- Strong focus on code quality, repository management, and maintainable software design.
- Experience delivering features from concept through production.
- Knowledge of healthcare technologies, HL7, and FHIR standards is an asset.
- Nice to have: Full-stack development experience with Angular, JavaScript, Node.js, npm, HTTP protocols, and browser-based development.
