Job Description

Description:

EMERALD AUTO | ROGERS TIRE & AUTO CARE

TIRE AND ALIGNMENT TECHNICIAN

Caldwell and Meridian, ID | Serving the Treasure Valley since 1978 | $18 to $20 per hour DOE | No weekends

Rogers Tire & Auto Care has been taking care of Treasure Valley drivers since 1978. We are hiring tire and alignment technicians for our shops in Caldwell and Meridian.

Tires and alignments are what we are known for. Mounting, balancing, repairs, rotations, and alignments are the work that keeps a family safe at highway speed, and we treat it that way. Torque specs get followed, alignments get set to spec, wear gets caught before the customer has a problem, and the job gets done right the first time. We have been named a CARFAX Top Shop five years running and hold a 4.9 star rating across more than 2,000 reviews, and careful work in the tire and alignment bays is a big part of why.

You do not need years of experience to start here. You do need to care about doing it correctly. We pay for certifications and training, so if you want to grow from tires and alignments into general automotive work, there is a path for that and we will help you take it.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • $18 to $20 per hour depending on experience, with room to move up as you gain skills
  • We pay for your certifications and continued training
  • A real path from tire and alignment work into an automotive technician role
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We close Saturday and Sunday
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Well equipped bays and up to date tire and alignment equipment
  • Steady year round work and a loyal customer base built over four decades
  • A team that helps each other out and holds the same standards
Requirements:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires on passenger vehicles, light trucks, and SUVs
  • Perform two wheel and four wheel alignments using computerized alignment equipment
  • Inspect steering and suspension components and catch worn parts that affect alignment
  • Inspect tires for wear and damage and torque every wheel to spec
  • Service and reset TPMS sensors
  • Set tire pressures and check brakes and suspension components during service
  • Perform oil changes and routine maintenance as needed
  • Flag anything you find that needs a technician’s attention
  • Receive, organize, and keep track of tire inventory
  • Keep your bay, tools, and work area clean and organized

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Dependable, on time, and ready to learn
  • Previous tire, alignment, or shop experience is helpful, but we will train the right person
  • Alignment experience is a plus
  • Careful attention to detail, because torque specs, alignment specs, and safety procedures matter here
  • Comfortable with physical work and being on your feet through the day
  • Positive attitude and willing to jump in when the team needs a hand
  • Basic automotive knowledge is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

WHY ROGERS TIRE

  • We have been here since 1978 and we plan to be here a lot longer
  • We pay for certifications and give you the equipment to use them
  • Your weekends are yours. We are closed Saturday and Sunday
  • This is a place to start a trade, not just a job to hold for a season
  • Honest work, fair pay, and people around you who care about the same things you do
