Job Description
Position Summary
Overview
The Aircraft Parts Inventory & Shipping Clerk supports the daily operations of RIM Alliance's aircraft parts facility. This position is responsible for receiving, identifying, cataloging, storing, picking, packing, shipping, and maintaining aircraft parts inventory.
The position will help maintain accurate inventory records, prepare parts for Sales and customers, and support the efficient movement of aircraft parts throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and experienced operating warehouse equipment and commercial vehicles. You will help with inventory accuracy, and support efficient warehouse distribution processes. Your keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills will ensure seamless inventory control, helping us meet customer demands and optimize operational efficiency. You will be responsible for the control, catalog and storing of inventory once components have been removed from incoming aircraft.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Research aircraft parts and enter accurate information into the computer system.
• Tag, label, and store aircraft parts in the correct warehouse locations.
• Maintain accurate and organized inventory records.
• Conduct inventory counts as required.
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies or damaged parts.
• Pull requested parts for the Sales team and customers.
• Return unsold parts to the proper warehouse location.
• Receive and process customer-returned parts.
• Assist with receiving and unloading incoming aircraft and shipments.
• Prepare aircraft parts for shipment, including packaging and labeling.
• Verify parts and quantities before shipping.
• Assist with shipping and receiving documentation.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse.
• Follow company safety procedures and aircraft parts handling requirements.
• Assist with AOG and priority parts requests.
• Work closely with Sales, Inventory, and Operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with computerized inventory systems.
• Forklift experience, including stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
• Ability to conduct inventory counts.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with aircraft or aerospace parts.
• Experience with inventory management or ERP systems.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience with shipping and receiving.
• Knowledge of freight documentation.
• Knowledge of hazardous material shipping procedures.
• Experience with aviation inventory systems such as Av-Site.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely handle aircraft parts and equipment.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a warehouse environment with frequent exposure to moving equipment, loading docks, and varying temperatures. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required as applicable.
