For more than 70 years, we have provided innovative employment, workforce development, residential, community living, and business services that promote independence, inclusion, and opportunity.

Our team is passionate about making a meaningful impact by helping individuals achieve their personal and professional goals while delivering high-quality services to our community, business partners, and government customers. At VersAbility, you'll join a mission-driven organization where your work changes lives and contributes to stronger, more inclusive communities.

Role Overview
VersAbility Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Quality and Compliance Specialist to support quality assurance and regulatory compliance across our employment, waiver group home, and adult day programs. This role plays an important part in ensuring the people we serve receive safe, high-quality, person-centered services. By conducting quality reviews, monitoring compliance, supporting investigations, analyzing data, and helping strengthen our quality-management systems, you will help VersAbility turn our mission into consistent, measurable standards of care and service across programs.

Working closely with program leaders and staff, you will help ensure services meet internal quality standards as well as applicable regulatory, licensing, certification, and accreditation requirements. You'll also support audits, CARF accreditation activities, critical-incident reporting, Human Rights compliance, investigations, corrective actions, and continuous quality improvement.

What You'll Do
• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality-improvement programs and quality-management systems across employment, waiver group home, and adult day-service programs.
• Coordinate documentation, data collection, monitoring activities, and follow-up actions supporting the quality-management system.
• Conduct quality inspections and reviews and collect, analyze, maintain, and report quality-related data and trends.
• Monitor programs for compliance with internal and external quality standards through routine reviews and auditing protocols.
• Support compliance with applicable requirements, including DBHDS, DMAS, HCBS, CARF, DARS, AbilityOne, and applicable grant requirements.
• Support the Human Rights Officer with critical-incident and abuse, neglect, and exploitation reporting.
• Support or conduct assigned investigations involving allegations of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and other serious incidents using established protocols.
• Document investigation findings and escalate concerns in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate assigned CARF accreditation activities, including annual conformance reports and indexes, supporting evidence, site visits, interviews, and surveyor support.
• Maintain quality-system records, certification evidence, corrective-action documentation, reports, and ongoing data.
• Assist with audit and review preparation, participate in audits and reviews, and contribute to corrective-action and quality-improvement plans.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of document-control systems.
• Support community-integration efforts and HCBS Rights compliance.
• Participate in project and planning teams and provide staff training and support as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Required
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or Business Management, with related experience. A minimum of three years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• Five years of successful work experience, including at least three years of Medicaid/Medicaid Waiver experience.
• ISO Lead Auditor certification or ability to obtain certification within six months.
• Knowledge of quality-management systems, methods, and continuous-improvement approaches.
• Working knowledge of employment-related services for people with developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of applicable legal, regulatory, licensing, certification, and accreditation requirements for employment and day-service programs.
• Knowledge of Human Rights regulations and reporting requirements.
• Ability to read, understand, interpret, and apply complex regulations, standards, and internal policies.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and clearly communicate data through reports and other written materials.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records and documentation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with program leaders, operational teams, and external review bodies.
• Sound judgment and discretion when conducting quality reviews and supporting investigations.

Qualifications: Preferred
Direct experience developing and implementing quality-management systems and general knowledge of CARF, AbilityOne, and ISO is highly desirable.

Schedule
This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week.
