About the Role

RPI Print is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounts payable function supporting our North American operations, including our facilities in Washington, Georgia, New York, and Oregon and our Blurb and MagCloud businesses. Reporting to the Controller, this role is responsible for ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and ensuring AP records and processes are accurate, organized, and compliant with company policies and accounting practices.

The Accounts Payable Manager will own the full accounts payable cycle in Epicor Kinetic and work closely with Finance, Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics to resolve issues, maintain strong payment controls, and support month-end close.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable managing both the details of day-to-day AP activity and the broader processes needed to keep the function running efficiently, and who is excited to use automation and AI tools to improve how AP works.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full accounts payable cycle in Epicor Kinetic, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, payment processing, and vendor account reconciliation across multiple entities and locations.
  • Oversee timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, freight bills, expense-related invoices, and other payables, including PO and receipt matching for materials and outsourced production.
  • Administer invoice approval workflows in Stampli; review invoices for appropriate documentation, coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage weekly check, ACH, and wire payment runs, including intercompany payments to our Netherlands and UK affiliates, ensuring appropriate review and authorization.
  • Partner with Logistics on freight payables processed through our third-party freight audit provider, as well as direct-billed carriers and customs brokers.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and oversee vendor setup and changes, including W-9 collection and independent verification of vendor banking changes.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for vendors, responding to inquiries and resolving invoice, payment, and account discrepancies.
  • Review vendor statements and reconcile outstanding balances.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, duplicate payments, credits, and other AP issues.
  • Partner with internal departments to obtain approvals, resolve coding questions, and address outstanding invoices.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including AP subledger-to-GL reconciliation, cutoff, accruals, AP aging, and other close-related responsibilities.
  • Own annual 1099 reporting, including TIN validation and filing.
  • Maintain appropriate AP documentation, records, and internal controls, including segregation of duties between vendor setup, invoice entry, and payment release.
  • Identify opportunities to improve AP processes, controls, workflows, and efficiency, including through automation and AI-assisted review.
  • Support the annual financial statement audit and provide AP documentation and reporting as needed.
  • Manage and support AP team members, including workload prioritization, training, and day-to-day guidance, as applicable.
  • Perform other accounting and finance responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive accounts payable or related accounting experience, including experience owning or overseeing the full AP cycle.
  • Previous experience leading an AP function, supervising employees, or serving as the senior point person for accounts payable.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, accounting controls, vendor management, and payment processing, including ACH and wire payments and fraud-prevention practices.
  • Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliations.
  • Experience with 1099 reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions and multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of issues, and follow them through to resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations) and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with ERP/accounting systems required; experience with Epicor and an AP automation platform such as Stampli is a plus.
  • Experience in a multi-location, multi-entity, manufacturing, eCommerce, or high-volume transaction environment is a plus.
  • Experience with freight and logistics payables or international payments is a plus.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
