Job Description
Salute is a leading provider of cutting-edge Data Center Infrastructure Services, dedicated to serving data center clients worldwide. We pride ourselves on delivering sustainable solutions, unparalleled reliability, and outstanding customer service. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Platform Engineering to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.
The Director of Platform Engineering will lead the technical foundation for one of Salute’s most important strategic technology initiatives: a new enterprise operating platform for mission-critical data center operations and lifecycle services at global scale.
You will design, build, and scale the core platform architecture that will support consistent, reliable, data-driven operations across complex data center environments. While important technology foundations are already in place, the platform is early enough that this leader will have meaningful latitude to shape its architecture, engineering practices, operating model, and technical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Platform Architecture & Technical Leadership
- Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps & CI/CD
- Application Platform & Developer Experience
- Data Platform & Integration
- Identity, Security & Governance
- Observability, Reliability & Production Operations
- AI/ML & Advanced Compute Infrastructure
- Team Leadership & Engineering Management
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, data infrastructure, or cloud architecture.
- 5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including managing senior engineers or platform teams.
- Deep experience designing, building, and operating cloud-native production systems.
- Strong experience with Python (or comparable backend languages) and modern frontend frameworks such as React.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure on major public cloud platforms.
- Strong background in distributed systems, APIs, databases, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with production data systems (document, analytical, relational, time[1]series, or data warehouses).
- Experience with enterprise identity, authentication, RBAC, and access-control patterns.
- Experience operating multi-tenant SaaS platforms with strong customer data isolation.
- Experience with modern engineering workflow tools for source control, planning, code review, and release management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Proven ability to translate business and customer needs into platform strategy and technical execution.
If you are a motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for data center services and a knack for building strong client relationships, we want to hear from you. Join us in revolutionizing the data center industry and apply today!
