Job Description
The Quality Engineer will join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) Security team within a large banking environment. This role is focused on ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of critical IAM platforms through robust test automation, API validation, and CI/CD integration. You will work closely with developers, security engineers, and product teams to validate complex authentication, authorization, and access control systems that protect enterprise assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test frameworks using Java-based testing tools
- Perform REST API testing for IAM services, including authentication, authorization, and provisioning flows
- Utilize tools such as Swagger and Postman to validate APIs and support test development
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous validation and rapid feedback
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality gates
- Validate security controls related to identity lifecycle management, access policies, and entitlements
- Support performance and regression testing for IAM platforms
- Contribute to improving test coverage, automation maturity, and release quality
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Software Testing
- Strong hands-on experience with Java-based test automation frameworks (e.g., RestAssured, TestNG, JUnit)
- Proven experience in REST API testing
- Proficiency with API tools such as Swagger and Postman
- Experience building and maintaining automation within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams
- Experience within Identity & Access Management (IAM) domains (e.g., SSO, MFA, OAuth, RBAC)
- Familiarity with IAM tools/platforms (e.g., SailPoint, OIG)
- Exposure to Ansible or other infrastructure automation tools
- Understanding of security testing practices in regulated environments
- Experience in banking or financial services
