Director, Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Data Analytics & Business Intelligence in United States.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a hands-on data expert who thrives at the intersection of analytics, technology, and business strategy. In this role, you will shape the organization’s enterprise reporting and analytics ecosystem while directly influencing executive decision-making across finance, sales, product, and operations. You’ll lead both strategically and technically, building scalable data models, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that drive operational excellence and business growth. Working in a fast-paced SaaS environment, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with senior stakeholders and mentor a high-performing analytics team. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a passion for turning complex data into actionable business insights.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and evolve the enterprise analytics and business intelligence function, ensuring accurate, scalable, and accessible reporting across the organization.
  • Build and maintain production-grade dbt models, SQL pipelines, and dashboards that support finance, product, sales, customer success, and executive leadership.
  • Lead the administration and optimization of BI and analytics platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, Metabase, Segment, Heap, Fivetran, and Stitch.
  • Deliver board-level and investor-ready reporting, partnering closely with executive leadership to support strategic planning and performance tracking.
  • Develop self-service analytics frameworks and training programs that empower teams to make informed, data-driven decisions independently.
  • Drive data governance, quality standards, compliance initiatives, and audit readiness across analytics systems and processes.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and system migration projects through due diligence analysis, data separation, and integration activities.
  • Identify opportunities for AI/ML integration and workflow automation to improve efficiency, scalability, and business intelligence capabilities.
  • Mentor and guide analysts and technical contributors while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership or lead role.
  • Proven experience operating in a player/coach capacity, balancing hands-on technical execution with team leadership responsibilities.
  • Advanced expertise in SQL and deep hands-on experience working with Snowflake and modern data stack technologies.
  • Strong experience building and maintaining dbt models and enterprise reporting systems in production environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of Salesforce data structures, relationships, and data quality management practices.
  • Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Metabase, Databricks, Fivetran, Segment, Heap, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, audit readiness, compliance frameworks, and scalable analytics architecture.
  • Ability to translate complex datasets into executive-level insights and actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders in fast-paced SaaS or technology environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience with AI/ML initiatives, M&A due diligence, or enterprise system migrations is considered a strong advantage.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary package with retirement plan and equity opportunities.
  • Comprehensive healthcare, wellness, and regional benefits programs.
  • Flexible remote work environment designed to support work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to work with modern analytics technologies and enterprise-scale data systems.
  • Collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Professional development and career growth opportunities within a global organization.
  • Inclusive and diverse workplace committed to equal opportunity and accessibility support.
  • Exposure to executive leadership and strategic business initiatives with direct organizational impact.
