Job Description
Job Summary:
The Hydration Tech / Expeditor plays a critical role in ensuring efficient operations by coordinating the timely delivery of materials, monitoring project timelines, and facilitating communication across departments. This role focuses on optimizing supply flow, supporting project teams to prevent delays ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining adequate water/ice/trash flow throughout plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with department leaders to monitor inventory levels, evaluate suppliers, and ensure all delivered materials meet company quality standards.
- Verify shipments, track deliveries, and manage supply requisitions.
- Work the handout window ensuring everyone gets material needed.
- Receiving material and packages from shipping services.
- Escort drivers into the plant and take them to proper unloading points.
- Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Proactively identify potential delays, confirm expected delivery dates, and provide timely updates to Project Managers.
- Monitor production schedules for ongoing projects to ensure efficient use of materials and labor.
- Coordinate the allocation of materials to crew members to improve productivity and prevent delays.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication between departments to ensure alignment and operational efficiency.
- Fill ice chests throughout plant with ice and water periodically and as needed.
- Empty trash cans throughout the plant periodically and as needed.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and coordination abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Experience with supply chain coordination, project support, or operations (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
Frequent use of hands and arms for handling documents, operating computers, and communication devices
Ability to lift and carry materials or supplies up to 25–50 pounds as needed
Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or reaching to access materials or inspect deliveries
Visual acuity to read documents, monitor inventory, and review project details
Capability to work in various environments, including office settings, warehouses, and active project or production sites
Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for handling tools, devices, and documentation on-site
