Senior Commercial Solar Performance Analyst

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the operational performance and reliability of a large portfolio of commercial solar energy systems. You will be responsible for monitoring system health, analyzing performance data, and identifying issues that impact energy production across distributed solar assets. Working in a fast-growing, mission-driven environment, you will collaborate closely with operations, engineering, field technicians, and client stakeholders. The position blends technical analysis, customer support, and operational coordination to ensure optimal system performance and client satisfaction. You will also contribute to onboarding new assets, improving monitoring processes, and supporting performance modeling efforts. This is a hands-on analytical role ideal for someone who thrives in a data-driven, fast-paced renewable energy environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Monitor commercial solar portfolios using DAS platforms to detect alerts, diagnose performance issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Analyze system data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and underperformance across distributed solar assets.
  • Coordinate service resolution by creating, tracking, and closing tickets while collaborating with field technicians and internal operations teams.
  • Provide technical support to clients, site hosts, and field service teams, including real-time troubleshooting during site visits.
  • Support onboarding of new solar assets by configuring systems, integrating data sources, and ensuring accurate technical setup in monitoring platforms.
  • Assist in performance modeling and energy simulation activities to forecast PV system output and validate performance expectations.
  • Generate and validate performance reports for clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting standards.
  • Support pre-sales activities by contributing technical insights and performance analysis for new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by documenting processes, identifying system enhancements, and improving operational workflows.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial solar monitoring, performance analysis, or related renewable energy operations roles.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, DAS platforms, and solar performance monitoring tools.
  • Experience with alert management, system diagnostics, and performance troubleshooting in solar environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, technicians, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Excel, G Suite, and CRM platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving processes and support continuous operational improvements.
