This role offers a strategic opportunity to shape the global expansion of high-performance data center infrastructure supporting next-generation AI and cloud services. You will be responsible for identifying and securing optimal sites and colocation facilities that meet complex technical, operational, and commercial requirements. Working at the intersection of real estate strategy, engineering, and large-scale infrastructure planning, you will play a key role in enabling scalable and resilient global compute capacity. The position involves close collaboration with engineering, finance, legal, and construction teams to evaluate feasibility, mitigate risk, and ensure long-term efficiency. You will also engage with colocation providers, utilities, and public authorities to negotiate agreements and ensure optimal service delivery. This is a high-impact role within a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment focused on building the backbone of AI infrastructure worldwide.
- Lead end-to-end site selection processes for new data center developments and colocation expansions across multiple regions.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis covering power availability, fiber connectivity, land suitability, regulatory conditions, and risk factors.
- Build and maintain intelligence on data center markets, energy trends, colocation pricing, and infrastructure availability.
- Perform technical and environmental due diligence, including geotechnical, seismic, hydrological, and infrastructure assessments.
- Evaluate site feasibility based on power, cooling, network, logistics, and scalability requirements in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Identify, assess, and negotiate with colocation providers, including SLAs, pricing structures, and contract terms.
- Manage RFP processes, vendor relationships, and lifecycle activities such as renewals, expansions, and migrations.
- Partner with legal, finance, and construction teams to support contract negotiations, CapEx/OpEx modeling, and business case development.
- Coordinate with utilities, regulators, and local authorities to support permitting and compliance processes.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to SLA, uptime, and operational standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Business, Geography, or a related field.
- 5–8+ years of experience in site selection, data center development, colocation management, or infrastructure real estate.
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and network requirements.
- Proven experience evaluating colocation providers and negotiating contracts, leases, and SLAs.
- Strong analytical skills in market research, financial modeling, feasibility studies, and risk assessment.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously across different regions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Solid understanding of regulatory, zoning, and permitting frameworks related to infrastructure development.
- Experience with hyperscale or large-scale data center environments is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of utility procurement, renewable energy markets, or substation planning is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with GIS tools, capacity planning, or environmental risk modeling is beneficial.
