Job Description
Catering Expediter
POSITION SUMMARY: Oversee all aspects of catering operations at key points observing the work of Food Service Associates and Cooks while working with staff to achieve objectives in assigned areas of the department. Participates in the delivery of catered services to our employees patients, and other guests throughout the medical network. Follows Organizational and Department Policies, AIDET and SRMC Standards of Behavior. Assures food safety standards are followed.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required: High school or equivalent. Demonstrates organizational, communication and leadership skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to calculate simple math equations.
Preferred: Three years of catering experience; plus food service lead or supervisory experience.
ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication during interaction with others. Incumbent must demonstrate competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before being allowed to perform independently. ServSafe Certification required within 6 months of hire.

Supervises: None
Reports To: Coordinator, Manager or Director as designated for the area and shift assigned to work.
