About This Position
• Shared and collaborative infusion space.
• Ability to alternate between various work sites, depending on the practices’ space allocation, division of daily
work activities, etc.
• Rotate into other assignments (conditional based on appropriate training) such as infusion referrals, triage and
charge nurse.
Responsibilities
• Completion of ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy administration certification during orientation
• Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English.
• Navigate information technology associated with the position.
• Use Electronic Health Record information and associated tools.
• Record, track and assign duties and processes to ensure appropriate billing and revenue generation, when
applicable.
• Facilitate care coordination with other providers and services to complement ambulatory Oncology care and
meet holistic needs of the patient and family.
Department Specific Preferences (competencies, certifications, etc.):
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card
• At least year of experience working in Adult ambulatory Hematology/Oncology in the last five years. At least one year of experience working in inpatient Oncology in the last five years
• IV access proficiency. Experience working with Central Lines, Port-a-cath. Experience handling and
administering hazardous medications.
• At least one year of experience in outpatient infusion in the last five years.
