Reports to: Finance Assistant

The Opportunity: We are looking for an eager and intelligent fundraising intern to become an integral

member within the finance team. In this role you will largely be assisting with donor research to ensure we

have accurate data and the best leads. Donor research is the basis for how we decide who is and is not

worth calling for money. Once we have enough donor research, we turn that data into actionable items for

our various fundraising programs (i.e. call time, events, etc) that fund our organization.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Research prospective donors to find out details such as; donor history, contact information, their background, and other relevant information.
  • Update giving history in NGP to keep track of recent donations.
  • Clean up call sheets to ensure call time runs smoothly.
  • Assisting with in person and virtual events as needed.

  • Ability to Effectively Manage Relationships - The ability to gracefully steward donor, volunteer and political relationships.
  • Organizational Skills - Demonstrated ability to handle incoming information from several mediums while remaining incredibly organized and not dropping balls.
  • Strong Attention to Detail - Shows a demonstrated ability to follow processes in an organized and complete manner.


Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Skills with Google Sheets and Excel.
  • Propensity for research and finding answers to solutions that are not easily searchable.
  • Skills with reaching out via phone (r.e. phone banking, cold calling, donor outreach).
  • Knowledge of Wisconsin politics.

The pay range for this role is:
15 - 15 USD per hour(In Person - Madison (15 N))
