About This Position
We're looking for a dedicated, hard-working Houseperson who will be responsible for assisting room attendants and responding to guest calls.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Primary Responsabilities
Cleans and prepares property and public areas by meeting established standards of cleanliness and propriety to assure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues. Associates will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor.
Essential Job Function
To know and carry out policies and procedures as set forth by Marriott.
To effectively communicate within the Housekeeping Department.
Always be in proper uniform and comply with grooming standards.
Maintain complete knowledge of equipment and facilities.
Collects and removes trash from all areas of the resort and places in designated area.
Retrieves items from shelves and storerooms, sets up storerooms with supplies, constantly maintaining in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency and ease of overall department performance.
Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways, outside buildings often using ladders or stools to clean hard to reach areas, in order to maintain a clean, presentable and attractive facility at all times.
Use cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
Adhere to all Health Department, sanitation and safety regulations.
Sweep, mop and/or shampoo all floor areas (linoleum, tile, carpet, etc.) with proper equipment to remove dirt and soiled areas.
Dusts and polishes furniture, fixtures and wall hangings including using a duster to reach vents and ceiling corners to remove dust and cobwebs.
Strips bed of all linen checking bedspread, blankets and bed pads for cleanliness, replacing if soiled. Lifts mattresses to check for soil between mattresses and under bed.
Vacuums public areas and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25lbs., and lifting/moving heavy furniture in order to vacuum entire area of carpet including underneath furniture and the hard to reach areas.
Inspects all door and window locks to ensure they are in workingorder and immediately alerts management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.
Inspects all public area equipment (TV, lights/lamps, faucets, radios) to ensure proper working order and immediately reports all maintenance deficiencies, in writing, to the Executive Housekeeper for prompt repair/resolution.
Able to exert physical effort in transporting linen and supplies to guest room floors from laundry
and housekeeping.
Cleans patio/balcony areas by sweeping or hosing the floor and wiping down all furniture and fixtures, picking up garbage and cleaning patio/balcony doors and windows.
Cleaning exterior of building with water hose and pressure washer as required
Perform deep cleaning in meeting space, sleeping rooms and public areas including carpet and upholstery cleaning.
Follows all driving and safety procedures when utilizing golf carts and transporting linen, trash, etc.
Secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times in order to protect and preserve hotel property.
Provides assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
Maintain production quotas.
Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Must be able to stand / walk for extended periods of time.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less/more than 50 pounds without assistance utilizing proper safety techniques.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
