About This Position

Key responsibilities include:
- Supports the development of business cases for projects according to BHBs schedule of delegated authority and governance requirements.
- Completes all required project establishment documentation. Manages appropriate project governance and communication arrangements.
- Coordinates the resources for the projects including finance, IT and human resources. This may include addressing initial skill or knowledge gaps of project members.
- Produces project updates, RAG and progress / variance reports, presenting them to committees as appropriate.
- Develops and maintains project plans, breaking them down across work-streams where necessary. Supports the identification of critical path activities and checks that plans correlate across different work-streams.
- Undertakes / supports post project evaluations such as lessons learned reports and benefits realization studies.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
- Supports the development of project management as a discipline across BHB and participates in activities to improve the competency of project management and non-project management staff across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Honours Degree in Business Administration from an accredited institution or equivalent
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of senior/ middle management level experience, with a track record in managing successful projects.
- Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting would be an asset.
- Agile Project Management experience is an asset
- Understanding of subject matter areas such as IT, facilities management, clinical service development, HR and organizational development.
Schedule: 35 hrs per week.
Salary range: BP 35-37 – Starting salary $119,918.96 per annum ($65.8895 per hour)
