General Utility at GRTC Transit System – Richmond, Virginia

SUMMARY

Responsible for performing various vehicle service and custodial duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Pumps fuel, checks oil, washes, cleans and stores revenue vehicles in assigned areas.

• Maintains a clean service station and maintenance work area.

• Cleans and performs trash pickup detail.

Education and/or Experience

• High school education required.

• A valid Virginia CDL with a P endorsement required.

• Combination of indoor and outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions, as well as exposure to diesel fumes, cleaning solvents and lubricants
