Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and providing excellent service to our guests.
Responsibilities
Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all items are properly stored after cleaning.
Assist with the preparation of food items as needed, including bussing tables and helping cooks during peak hours.
Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Support the kitchen staff by keeping work areas organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
Follow all food handling safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Participate in regular cleaning tasks to maintain overall kitchen hygiene.
Skills
Previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and management.
Knowledge of basic culinary practices is a plus, including food handling techniques.
