About This Position
- Background
Tulsa Service Year (TSY) is a year-long program seeking to connect diverse high potential recent college talent to inspiring career opportunities in the nonprofit sector. TSY partners with local organizations in Tulsa to offer four tracks for its fellows: arts and education, civic leadership, entrepreneurship, and social impact.
Tulsa Service Year (TSY) seeks a change driven candidate to fill the role of Tulsa Service Year Fellow. This position is a temporary 1-year fellowship.
Job Description
- Support the development of detailed project plans to achieve desired outcomes. Which may include: research, analysis, data collection, planning, creation of reports.
- Assist in the execution of project scopes and objectives.
- Lead and/or support project management. Which may include:
- Tracking timelines for implementation
- Drafting communications
- Supporting agenda creation and material preparation
- Supporting team project management
- Perform research related to site’s priority areas that support current and future programming and policy work.
- Draft email communication, format documents, and design presentation and promotional materials.
- Be consistent and reliably present to provide staffing resources, attend in-person meetings, hold presentations and create relationships with local partners.
- Participate in activities, including coaching and other professional development activities, to gain exposure to various aspects of Tulsa.
- Special Projects: Assist with additional projects and duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree
Hours and Location:
? Work primarily on site at the placement partner location, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with some after hour commitments. Some days will require flexible hours, with either an early start or a late finish.
Proficiencies:
- Ability to research and synthesize data
- Ability to work independently in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Google Workspace, Zoom and proficient in financial and analytical software/platforms, including Quickbooks, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Pro
- Ability to work with general office equipment (e.g. photo copier/scanner, laser printer)
- Detailed, clear, well-organized and concise note-taking
- Thorough review of documents for proofreading and other purposes
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
