Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is a non-profit organization and one of the largest Hispanic Community Development Corporations in the United States. The organization began with a group of student and community activists in 1967, and was incorporated and received non-profit status in 1969 to fight discrimination against the Mexican American community. Inspired by Dolores Huerta and Cesar Chavez, we advocated for equity in education, politics, and labor conditions. This will be a hybrid position with both office and some remote work so candidates should be based in AZ
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
- You will quantify and determine the impact CPLC has on the community at the organizational and programmatic levels and determine future trends through evaluation, policy and internal strategic performance efforts.
- You will provide project management and work alongside programs to plan the strategic direction of CPLC.
- Your operational duties will include, but are not be limited to, defining evaluation requirements for the program, completing literature reviews for current and emerging trends and special populations, conducting training of site/program personnel regarding data collection and data entry while ensuring integrity in data management protocols; overseeing evaluation and output compliance reporting to funders including dashboard reporting, and performing quantitative and qualitative analysis to generate statistical reports to develop and present program output and outcome reporting.
- You will independently design, implement, and govern organization-wide evaluation frameworks, exercise discretion in determining appropriate methodologies, indicators, and analytical approaches, and advise Executive and program leadership on operational performance, compliance risk, and strategic decision-making.
- You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, translating complex data analyses into actionable insights that materially impact program design, funding compliance, and organizational strategy.
SPECIALIZATIONS
- Strong quantitative experience, preferably in the social sciences, with experience in statistical and data visualization software (Tableau)
- Experience and knowledge in Program Evaluation Theory and Methods including questionnaire design, literature reviews, data collection and cleaning, database management, data visualization and analysis
- Experience in project management, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Application of the Social Determinants of Health and healthcare and housing/homelessness.
- Must demonstrate collaboration, a willingness to provide and receive team feedback, dedication to the field and an intentional work ethic.
- Independently determines appropriate evaluation methodologies, performance indicators, and analytical models based on organizational, programmatic, and Funder requirements.
- Exercises independent judgment in interpreting data trends, identifying risks, and recommending corrective or strategic actions to leadership.
- Determines priorities across multiple concurrent evaluation and reporting initiatives, aligning resources and timelines without day‑to‑day supervision.
- Serves as a subject‑matter expert in evaluation and data analytics, providing guidance that influences program design, funding strategy, and compliance practices.
- Has authority to establish and revise data governance standards, evaluation protocols, and reporting frameworks.
- Provides analytical and strategic support for grant development, renewal, and reporting by assessing program outcomes, identifying performance gaps, and advising leadership on funding sustainability strategies.
- Authors or co-authors sophisticated analytical sections of grant applications and white papers requiring professional judgment and subject‑matter expertise.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- A Bachelor’s degree in program evaluation, a social science discipline, or related field. Coursework in research design and data analysis is required. A Master’s is preferred.
- Significant knowledge in research methods and statistics, and 4 years’ experience developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems, program evaluation, and statistical analysis.
- Position requires advanced, specialized knowledge in program evaluation, statistics, and research methodology customarily acquired through prolonged academic instruction.
- Regularly applies theoretical and advanced analytical concepts requiring intellectual judgment rather than standardized procedures.
- Knowledge and experience in project management
- Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) a must.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
- Prior non-profit, social services, public health, or healthcare experience is a plus.
Other Requirements
This position operates under general direction and is responsible for planning and executing work with substantial latitude for independent judgment. Outcomes are reviewed at a strategic level rather than through detailed supervision.
