Position Purpose
To direct the operations of a medium-sized, remote Credit Union facility, ensuring the branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service, and growth plans.
Reporting Relationships
This position reports to the Director of Branch Operations.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities
- Responsible for the operation of the branch office with respect to quality service to members with all requests
- Has a thorough knowledge of Credit Union policy and procedure and applies this knowledge in the operation and supervision of the branch. Holds employees accountable for standards
- Hires, reviews, schedules, trains, and monitors the work of branch personnel: conducts performance reviews; allocates resources to meet operational needs within the department
- Maintains branch change fund, daily deposits, credit union inventory, and replenishments of branch cash
- Engage members in meaningful financial conversations that include understanding what is important to them and recommend services, when appropriate, to improve their financial lives further
- Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations(s), suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups
- Serve as a role model for others on the team in providing an excellent experience for members
- Act as a liaison between branch staff and leadership
- Keep abreast of operational and regulatory changes that affect the branch office
- Follow all policies and procedures required to maintain accuracy, manage risk, prevent fraud, and protect members
- Assure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the branch
- Perform other duties as leadership requires and assist other departments when necessary

- Be knowledgeable about services offered to Credit Union members
- Contribute to the overall efforts of the Credit Union in reaching its goals and objectives, which include:
- Providing quality service to Credit Union members
- Meeting WFCU Service Standards
- Maintaining efficient and productive credit union operations
- Exceed referral expectations for referrals to internal specialists.
- Coach and develop employees to identify cross-sales opportunities
- Demonstrate willingness to achieve professional growth through on-the-job training and educational opportunities
- Demonstrate willingness to participate in Credit Union related activities
- Maintain friendly working relationships with management and coworkers
- Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness
Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Three to five years of experience leading and managing a team of people in a full-service branch
Desirable Qualifications
- A college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or apprenticeship
- Advanced computer skills; proficient MS Office
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow up with others regarding information needed or provided
- Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic
- Able to handle highly confidential information with discretion
- Detail oriented
- Able to adhere to tight deadlines
- Able to produce high-quality work in an efficient and timely manner
