Job Description

Job Summary

Reporting to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, provides assistance with nursing care of patients as needed under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Services Department and regulatory agencies. Accountable for the aspects of nursing care they are directed to provide within their scope of practice.

Minimum Qualifications

· Education

o High School diploma or equivalent required.

o Completion of a certified nursing assistant program preferred.

· Experience

o Acute care experience preferred.

· Licensure and/or Certification

o BLS healthcare provider required.

o Certified Nursing Assistant preferred (required to float to TCU).

· Skills

o Ability to take vitals.

o Communication skills.

o Interpersonal skills.

o Computer skills.

o Ability to maintain confidential information.

o Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

o Excellent customer service skills.
