Director of Maintenance

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Utilize maintenance department resources to implement company initiatives
• Project current and future needs of the maintenance department to support growth targets
• Monitor Diesel Technician productivity by creating reports pulled from maintenance software
• Create policies and processes to promote safe, quality repairs
• Maintain control of assets
• Create policies and processes to ensure inventory accuracy
• Conduct weekly and monthly reports including but not limited to: labor utilization, inventory, repair times, parts spend, maintenance cost/mile
• Oversee the planning and utilization of the available capacity in shop
• Initiate conversations with vendors and evaluate the use of new products and/or technology
• Identify and develop continuous improvement projects focused on increasing efficiency and overall spend of the maintenance department
• Contain costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
• Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
