Loblolly is seeking a friendly, professional, safety-conscious, seasonal Boat Shuttle Captain to join our Waterfront team. This position is responsible for safely transporting members and their guests aboard the Club's shuttle vessel while delivering the exceptional hospitality and personalized service for which Loblolly is known.

The ideal candidate is an experienced boat operator who enjoys interacting with people, understands the importance of water safety, and takes pride in providing a comfortable and enjoyable boating experience. This position requires weekend availability.

• Safely operate the Club's shuttle vessel, transporting members and guests to and from the beach.
• Provide a welcoming, courteous, and professional experience for all passengers.
• Assist members and guests with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Conduct pre-departure vessel inspections and ensure all required safety equipment is aboard and in proper working condition.
• Monitor weather, tides, marine traffic, and water conditions to ensure safe vessel operations.
• Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of the shuttle vessel.
• Follow all applicable U.S. Coast Guard regulations, maritime laws, and Club safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the Waterfront Director regarding scheduling, vessel operations, maintenance needs, and member requests.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and changing conditions on the water.
• Assist with other marina and waterfront-related duties as needed.

• Valid U.S. Coast Guard Captain's License appropriate for the vessel and passenger operations required.
• Previous experience operating passenger vessels, shuttle boats, or similar recreational or commercial watercraft preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local waterways, navigation, boating safety, and maritime regulations.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and a friendly, service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to assist passengers safely with boarding and disembarking.
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on Club needs.
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather and marine conditions.
