Paramedic - Emergency Department at Columbus Regional Health – Columbus, Indiana

What you need to know about this position:

• Housed in a state of the art new facility designed using voice of the customer, our Emergency department has 28 acute care rooms and 5 Rapid Medical Assessment rooms providing optimal patient experience and work flow.
• As a high energy department with 100% of physicians Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, we see an average of 45,000 patients.
• The Emergency Department utlizies Paramedic as a key member of ED staff providing optimum patient care.
• Our Paramedics in the ED have an hourly base rate starting at $22.47. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
• The Days PRN position (7a-7:30p) is not benefit eligible but offers a premium for hours worked, and the scheduled hours depend on the needs of the department and our patients.

What is required for this position:

• Upon hire, you must have:
  • Indiana State Paramedic License Or National Registry Paramedic Certification with the ability to obtain an unrestricted state license within 60 days of hire
• Within 30 days of hires you must have:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA).
• Within 6 months of hire you must have
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA).

• This position will require frequent standing, walking talking and listening as well as lifting or moving more than 100 pounds
