Camp Information:

In the Summer of 2025, Canterbury School is launching a new Outdoors Adventure Summer Camp program for campers Ages 8-14. Our goal is to create the atmosphere of a traditional overnight camp Florida in a day setting here in SW Florida, with most of the time spent outside (away from the screens) and developing an appreciation for the natural world and the outdoors. Our program will be child-centered, with an emphasis on engaging and fun activities that will make your kids want to come to camp every day, even despite the warm weather and physical expectations. The camp will split its time between the Canterbury campus and outdoors destinations in the region. We will take weekly field trips to local sites like Sanibel Beach, Bunch Beach, Lover’s Key State Park, 6-Mile Slough, ECHO, Bradford Preserve Eco Tour, the Calusa Amphitheater, and Great Wolf Lodge. There will also be a weekly Thursday overnight at a nearby campsite, with grilled dinners, a campfire, field games, and nights spent in tents. Campers should expect to get wet daily.
